Looky where I hiked to! PIP
We hiked 2600 feet to the top of a ridge in the Columbia River gorge! 8.5 mile. 3.5 of it were strait up hike. At one point there was three feet of snow. It was freaking amazing. I cried when we got to Angles Rest.
This is at the top, I'm a hot sweaty mess

Said snow. This is not at its deepest I forgot to pull my camera out

The view from angles rest! This reminded me of why I hike. So amazing!

And the pooped pup enjoying the view.

My Blog
lol your pup reminds me of like a Glamour spread or something but with a doggie!
That's a beautiful spot...my DH and I wanted to do a combo camping/fancy hotel in Oregon for our anniversary. How close to Portland is this trail?? It looks stunning, and if there's camping nearby (car camping, I don't feel like backpacking right now) and then we can get all prettified at a nice Potland hotel, this may be a good option for us!
Good for you for getting out in nature; we did too even though I was teaching like a crazy person all weekend; we had a nice long bike ride. It was like 70 degrees here tho...no snow for us ;-) so it rocked
He is a total poser, its funny. I have so many great dog pictures.
This trail is about 30 minutes from downtown! The Gorge is such an amazing place. Many of the hikes are super packed during the weekend (I don't like that) but there are so many that are off the beaten track that are breath taking. I think we saw less then 10 groups while we were out. PM me if you have any questions about good trails in the area.
We had such a beautiful weekend too. We got to 60* yesterday... AMAZING! Glad you guys had a nice weekend too.
