Intro and newbie running a 5K in September.
Hi,
I'm not a newbie to the nest/bump, but I am to this board.
Quick background, 15months ago, I weighed 300lbs. Since then, I have dropped 50lbs, but I have recently gotten much more serious about my nutrition and exercise.
I've been working out with a trainer at the gym and just yesterday signed up to do a 5K run with my family in September. I'm really nervous but excited. Currently, I jog/run doing intervals. I can do 3K in 28 minutes. (I know it's slow, but for me it's a huge deal.)
I hope there's room for a newbie like me on the board and I look forward to being here.

Welcome! & congrats on all your success!
GL to you on your 5k! I just signed up for my 1st one too (& am crapping my pants thinking about it! Lol), & don't sell yourself short! Being able to run any distance is something to cheer about!
