NCR: if you didn't change your last name
are you still referred to Mrs. maiden name, or Ms. maiden name?
just curious
Re: NCR: if you didn't change your last name
Ms. Maiden Name.
This.
This is me too.
This is how my name is as well, but I go by Ms. DHname.
I feel it is split between the two. I am just happy that the use the correct last name!
totally understand!
I usually go by Ms. MaidenName, but some people call me Mrs. MaidenName, and it just seems weird even though technically I should be a Mrs.
If people don't know me, I'll often get called Mrs.Maidenname....if they know, I am called Ms.Maidenname. I do still get called Mrs.DH'sname sometimes...and we do get things addressed to us as Mr. & Mrs. DH'sname...even from people who know that's not my last name.
I originally kept my maiden name b/c I had to for immigration paperwork/process after getting married. I have the option to change it in about a month when I go for my US citizen interview. I was going to change it ...but now I'm not sure..I kind of want to keep my maiden name now.
I'm called simply "Miss" like 800 times on a daily basis. I'm going to change that next year, for sure!
I am not generally addressed by my last name other than by students. I hate it when adults/colleagues call me Ms/Mrs XXX.
