2BJennifer... re netflix

So I decided to keep my netflix streaming awhile longer b/c it is helping me a lot with working out longer & enjoying working out more...

Now I want to know what you'd recommend that is available on streaming, since we seemed to have similar movie taste- documentaries, indy films, etc!

Thanks!

Re: 2BJennifer... re netflix

  • Hi! I actually just have the mailing service, not streaming! In fact, I was looking through my shipping history hoping it would show me what I saw streaming, and it no longer shows it :( There were a couple films I remember watching that don't show up in my queue at all, so unless they were mailed to me, I can't see them in my history. Here are some of my favorites (and I hope some of them are available streaming!):

A Town Called Panic!: Funny, weird, French - a little long and really silly, but I enjoyed it.

    Grizzly Man (documentary)

REC (Spanish - the basis for the American film Quarantine - if you like scary movies!)

Let the Right One In (Swedish - I believe they made an American version of this, but I haven't seen it!)

    Raise the Red Lantern (Chinese)

    House of Sand and Fog

A Tale of Two Sisters (South Korean) - one of the creepiest movies I've ever seen!

This Film is Not Yet Rated (documentary)

    Jesus Camp (documentary)

    Pan's Labyrinth

    Deliver Us From Evil (documentary)

    Doubt

    Grey Gardens (documentary)

    Young@Heart (documentary)

Trick r Treat: Hilarious, weird, campy Halloween stories. Just FYI :)

    Away We Go

    Inglorious Bastards

    An Education

    A Single Man

    Chloe

Never Let Me Go (I'm not sure if I would have enjoyed this as much unless I had read the book)

It's Kind of a Funny Story

    Blue Valentine

Take Shelter - I mentioned this one in my last post, but the more time passes, the more I love it and want to watch it again. The ending is polarizing though - I know some people didn't like it. Maybe it's because I love Michael Shannon and Jessica Chastain :)

Wow - this turned out to be really long - sorry about that! I'm just hoping some of these are available to stream!

  • Oh! I remembered that there is a documentary called Dear Zachary that used to be streaming. It is one of those movies where I'm not sure if it is really that good of a documentary, but you become so invested in the people involved and it is an incredibly emotional film. I cried so much (but then, I cry at everything, so I'm probably not the best judge of that :)

  • Awesome! I have only seen a few of those (house of sand & fog, doubt & young at heart)...I think I'll skip the scaries :) but will def check out the rest! Funny you said that about never let me go b/c I really didn't like the book, wonder if I'd like the movie...
