Homemade fruit roll-ups?
Has anyone done this at home before?
I saw a recipe on Pinterest for DIY fruit roll-ups made in your oven from various fruit purees and thought it looked good. I used strawberries and it was horrible. Brittle, crunchy and a very odd, smoky flavor, like I'd left them in too long. But then again, the middle was mushy and undercooked. The lowest my oven goes to is 175 so I'm wondering if that might have been the problem.
Any advice? Thanks

Fine Cooking had a great article last summer. I have yet to be disappointed with their recipes, so I'd give their method a shot! I want to try the blueberry one this spring because my SIL's bf owns a blueberry farm and we always end up with tons of blueberries.
