Feel like I'm losing my touch at cooking
I've had a series of fails lately. Its so hard to cook and keep my train of thought with 2 little ones running around. I just made a cheesecake for DH's birthday. Something I have successfully made many time. I forgot to put the melted butter in and I don't think my blender mixed it properly. I just pulled a curdled cheesecake from my oven. I don't have anymore cream cheese and DS2 is down for a nap so I can't go back to the store. DH now has to buy a store bought cheesecake as we are having my IL's over for dinner too. If I tell MIL what happened she will no doubt mock me-which I'm not in the mood for. I just needed to vent. I sometimes miss the days where I felt like I could pull off a whole meal successfully. Maybe one day. .

Ugh, that's a bummer.
I hate when you have a run of fails, especially with a "go to". Hang in there!
awww I'm sorry!
if it makes you feel any better, I had to do the same! I totally messed up DH's bday cake and I ended up buying one. we all have those kinda days sometimes, unfortunately
Ugh...been there!
I'm sorry. I hope it evens out soon.
I recently had a week like this, it was weird. It really made me annoyed. But it passes.
If your MIL gives you any shittabout your cheesecake look at her pointedly and say, "thanks for offering to bring desert," and then shift your eyes AND the conversation.
shazam!
Yeah that's right my name's Yauch!

Ahhhh, here is the flip side for you:
Tonight I decided to make a big involved dinner for the family and trusted my typically good little girl to play and watch cartoons in the other room. I went in to check the first time and my tan leather couches are now COVERED in her pen drawings. Time out - back to cooking.
I check the 2nd time, find her in the tub, all her clothes on and covered in mommys body wash.
sigh - being a mom is not easy, lol
Oh no! I hope the makers were washable. My cheesecake flop doesn't seem so bad in comparison!
