What drives you crazy about DH??
Saw this on What's Cooking and I'm stealing it. Thought it would be fun to chat about here. What does hubby do that drives you crazy???
There are two things I'm always ragging on him for:
- When driving somewhere, he literally finds the LONGEST possible way to get there. Always.
- He is physically unable to close kitchen cabinets. He'll go in and get a bowl or a glass, but NEVER shuts the door all the way. WTF???
But he puts up with my shoes all over the house (I just kick them off and leave them all over) and and my other annoying habits
Re: What drives you crazy about DH??
If I had to pick one thing, it's that my H is very frugal...and I am so the opposite! So he is always on me when we're out about how much money I spend - even though it's my own money.
It used to annoy me, but now I just smile at him when he looks at the tags/tickets and frowns at the prices, and I keep right on shopping! I will tell him that "I don't give you guff when you want to spend your money on things that you like, so please be a dear and return the favor!" Thanks to my Mom for that piece of advice :-)
It works! Now he just shakes his head and finds a waiting bench until I'm done

His procrastinating! I love the boy to death, but seriously...just do (fill in the blank) already. If I ask him to get me a burp cloth or whatever, he'll say "yeah" and then continue to sit there. If I ask him to get it for me again, he'll respond, "I told you I would." Yes sweetie...I need it now. If I needed it 5 minutes from now, then I'd ask you for it in 5 minutes.
We bought wood to make a frame for Merritt's name in her room. It's been sitting in the living room for over 2 weeks. If I don't bring up a deadline for when I want the frame built, the wood will sit there for at least another 2 weeks. Just do it already.
(sorry...I really needed to get that off my chest. It's been driving me crazy lately!)

Sometimes, DH will open every single cabinet door, and then runs out of the room laughing while he waits for me to see it. LOL try it sometime!
He leaves little "puddles" of toothpaste on the counter/sink in the bathroom and it drives me nuts! When I go in there to brush my teeth, I have to be careful not to lean too close or I will have a nice little spot on my shirt.
He also leaves his newspapers all over the living room. Is it really that hard to walk the 3 steps to the recycle bin to put them neatly in there? Or, when he is done reading it, he will just toss it over the table and into the bin. Then it just sits there and makes a bigger mess for when I try to put other stuff in the bin.
The way he eats lettuce! We typically have a salad every night and he chews the lettuce before he closes his mouth. It's so loud! I've tried to explain to him what he's doing wrong and I still catch him doing it!

At night he takes his socks off and leaves them by his side of the bed, with the laundry basket less than 6 feet away from him. AAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!! Oh oh! And could you puhlease remove your hair after you've combed through it with MY comb?!
I love that it's *only* the little things.

We both have electronic toothbrushes, and when he brushes his teeth it splatters all over the bathroom mirror so I constantly have to wipe it down. For some reason that doesn't happen with me even though I use the same model toothbrush.
Also, this doesn't so much drive me crazy as make me roll my eyes, but he always, always changes his clothes in the bathroom. I've told him many times that we're married, it's okay to take his clothes off in front of me, but it's just his habit after being raised by his aunt in a one bedroom apartment in Manhattan.
On a related note, when we are both getting ready to go somewhere our routine is that I will take a shower, then while I'm in the bedroom getting dressed (like a normal person), he will shower, shave and get dressed in the bathroom. Then when he's done I go back in there to do my hair and makeup. Except when I go back in there the mirrors are all fogged (and covered in spittle from him brushing his teeth!). So I have to wait for it to air out before I can see to do my makeup. I have asked him many times to crack the door when he's done showering to let the steam out and he never does!
