She said it would take a while for an official diagnosis of whether I just had a bad episode of IBS w/ infection, or if I have a full fledged IBD, so there are still more tests to be done before I get anything certain. I have to give a couple more samples of fluids for testing.
The good news is that my scans came back looking good, significantly better than before! There is still inflammation so everything isn't exactly normal yet, but it's nothing that I am feeling pain from, so really I haven't even noticed it much. Continued meds and waiting, but overall my status report is much improved.
I'm even going rollerblading with my bestie right after work, that is how great I feel this week. I just wish my insides would follow suit and start looking as good as I feel!
Re: Follow up results (Dr. Related)
I'm glad that the general consensus is better than it could be, but I'm looking forward for you to finally get clued in on what you have (if you have it) so you can look after yourself without it being touch and go.
*Hugs*
All this
I'm so glad you are feeling better!
I'm so glad you are feeling better! Hopefully your official diagnosis isn't far behind.
*hugs*
Well, you are doing everything within your power to figure this out and that is so important. My little bro went for so long without seeking professional help with his UC.
((hugs))
1. Boo for inconclusive
2. Yay for improvement! That's certainly better than the alternative!
..I need PIP of you in roller skates.
Sorry that you're still without a definitive diagnosis, but I am so glad you're feeling better!! I'm sure you're insides will catch up eventually - they won't be able to resist given your great attitude.
::healthy good news vibes::
Thanks for the support, all!
I'll have to see about that next time but my friend was super cute in her ensemble, she even wore a helmet! I kinda wish I had taken one of her yesterday.
I didn't go that far but I did have on my wristguards and knee pads... it had been so long I wasn't sure how rusty or shaky I would be, but I did pretty good! Neither of us fell down at all and we skated around for about an hour, albiet slowly.
