Not many plans for today other than work. Hopefully I will get out at a decent time (not holding out too much hope...) so that I can either get a birthday present for my goddaughter or go curtain shopping.
QOTD: my favourite thing about the start of Spring is the lengthening days! I notice it in the evenings to start with but now it is also noticeable for me in the morning now that it is getting bright from 6.30am... A close second would be the first flowers of the year - snopdrops and daffodils!
Morning! I have a dr's appointment today that is probably going to eat up all the nanny time
I have so much to get done that it's really frustrating to have to waste it all on a dr's appointment.
QOTD: I love the flowers blooming. I finally got around to planting tulips in our yard last winter, and I've noticed that they've started to peek out of the ground. I'm hoping they bloom before we leave for the States in mid-April!
Morning! I've got work and then a meet-up with a friend later.Thankfully I also have a work from home day, as I have so much to get done and need some hours without interruption.
QOTD: I agree with IrishGal that the lengthening days is like magic. Growing up on the western edge of the time zone meant I've never been used to sunsets at 4:30 in the afternoon, and it's tough. Love the flowers, love the feel in the air, love the promise of warmer days to come.
Good morning! No real plans for today. If I were in the US, I would be headed to Tuscaloosa for my BFF's little girl's first birthday party this weekend. I sent a gift, I hope it got there in time. Other than that, housework and reading. I want to finish my book this weekend and I still have a few chapters to go -- it's a hardcover and I do not want to have to pack it for my long weekend next week. I am planning to mop and make homemade focaccia tomorrow, so I should have a good bit of downtime to work on the book.
QOTD: Flowers. I love bulb flowers and there were not many in NOLA. My great-great aunt always had a half-barrel planter of daffodils in Arkansas and I loved to see them. But really, they are more end of winter things. But I can tell you that I am loving the cooler weather we are getting as autumn comes rolling through -- I have already made my first pot of soup and am planning another this weekend. I'm ready for crisp, cool weather.
I'm in a crabby mood today. grrrr.
QOTD: Longer days, warmer days, flowers.
Morning! Should be a relatively quiet (although busy!) day at work, and then I'm heading home to relax for the evening! I do need to bake for a potluck lunch tomorrow at work, but other than that, I'm looking forward to relaxing tonight!
QOTD: In Doha, the start of spring doesn't mean much - just that the hot summer weather is coming soon :-P
In the US, I loved the flowers coming in and rain showers! I miss the rain now that it's so rare here! Oh also - loved Rita's free italian ice on the first day of spring! :-)

I've forgotten about that! Whenever I'm back in the summer we always have to stop, it's never warm enough here for ice cream anyway but I still miss Rita's.
The lengthening days. Honestly, it never gets warm here (yup, I'm whiny about it!) but the super dark winters are hard to take sometimes. It's so nice getting up for work in the daytime!

Morning! Just hammering out a translation that I have to send a client by tomorrow. But hey, it?s money so I will not complain.
QOTD: I love the days getting longer, that luminous green the leaves and grass turn when they first start putting out new growth, the flowers, the smell of rain, the warm sun on a chilly day. Just the general sense of renewel. Love spring! Those first days when the street cafe?s get out the tables and chairs and you can finally sit outside bundled up to drink a cappucino...ahhh, I can hardly wait!
I guess it's not morning anymore, but hello ladies! Busy day at work and then tidying up and organizing at home tonight. Lots of fun.
QOTD: As others have said, I love the longer days. It's so nice for it to still be light out when I get home from work.
