I'm only asking because I've had this computer for like 2 years and it's dying slowly on me. It's slow, doesn't load fast..freezes and crashes on me constantly..I'm just feddd up

Would you recommend your brand to someone?  No, the screen makes funky lines sometimes and some keys are messed up.

 

If you hate your PC/Mac, would you switch to the other brand?  I don't hate PC but am hoping to be able to afford a Mac in the near future.  I could afford a new PC now (and need a new one) but would rather try out the MacBook Air so I'm holding off.  Everyone I know who's gone from PC to Mac says they will never.ever.go.back.

Which one do you use? PCs. I've had Macs before, but I prefer PCs.

 

What do you like about it? I've never had a problem with it. I like that I can take it apart and upgrade components myself, which you can't do with a Mac. For instance, I recently replaced the video card and added a slot with HDMI outputs.

 

How long have you had your current PC/Mac? I currently have 4 computers (eek) ranging from 1 year to 4 years old.

 

Would you recommend your brand to someone? I've had good luck with Dells.

 

If you hate your PC/Mac, would you switch to the other brand? I was very frustrated with my Macs, so I'm a PC-er now.

Which one do you use? Mac. I'm die hard Apple.

 

What do you like about it? Everything! Once you stop comparing the OS to Windows, it's very easy to use. It's aesthetically pleasing. Customer service is amazing and since there are Apple stores everywhere, I can just bring it in. Syncing my iPhone and iPad is a breeze. The quality is amazing on it. No viruses.

 

How long have you had your current PC/Mac? I've had this particular one for 4 or 5 years, I think.

 

Would you recommend your brand to someone? Oh, absolutely!!!

 

If you hate your PC/Mac, would you switch to the other brand? I don't hate it and never have. I love love LOVE my computer. It needed a few things replaced a few months ago, but it was only $150 and now it runs like a champ again.

I love the Mac for sound design and sound editting; I tolerate the PC becuase it's my husband's preference

Mac 6 years, I think? PC, couldn't tell you, they are H's, though we seem to get a new every two years or so because something always goes wrong

Depends on what they need it for...

N/A, I don't hate either, they both have their benefits.

I just got a new PC laptop in December after having another one for 5 1/2 years

I have. My sister got one just like mine shortly thereafter. She also likes it. (Toshiba laptop with 10-key because we're nerds!)

If I used design programs, I would get a Mac because apparently they are the best for design. My mother will never own anything other than a Mac.

What do you like about it?  Everything!  I found it very easy to use and it's so much faster than my old computer.

How long have you had your current PC/Mac?  I've had the Mac for about 3.5 years and M has had his PC for about 4.

Would you recommend your brand to someone?  I think you can find both good Macs and good PCs...while I LOVE my Mac, I'm not a die hard loyalist.  M built all of our PCs himself and the've always run great and were easy to upgrade as needed.

And GLW, I'm almost ashamed to admit it, but I can beat you...we have 5 completely built PCs, enough parts for probably 1 or 2 others, plus a server and the Mac.  M is the ultimate computer nerd.

Haha, I'm glad I'm not alone! MH has a full-tower case that I could fit my body in, complete with a fan with LEDs on it. *sigh*

It's a company computer, but about a eyar.

 Yes, Dell! the Latitude line has been my computer choice for quite a few years now. It's perfect for home, work and school
