Re: Tattoos!
Ha.
I wish I had the guts to get a tattoo. I love them on other people and think guys that are covered are extra hot.
Ive wanted something that represents "carpe diem" for a long time but can't work up the balls to do it. I'm thinking after my race I might go for it.
I love all of the tattoos that you ladies have!
I apologize if they're huge...
I have two:
1) Lower back - tribal flame design with two bear paw marks on either side (symbol for "good omens") with the seven-pointed star headdress of Seshat in the center.
2) Upper back - my Cherokee name, Usti Kamama ("Little Butterfly") in Cherokee symbols, with a bird silhouette to symbolize my totem and my time spent rehabbing birds, which was one fo the best times of my life thus far.
I want to get another one this summer, on my foot. I haven't decided which phrase to get, "Lead Me to the Land I Dream Of" or "To Live Would Be an Awfully Big Adventure" (both Peter Pan-inspired).
I tried to be in the Army, but broke my back. They gave me the option to stay for 6 months of PT or be discharged. I had family and a bf (DH) waiting for me back home and from what I heard, PT in the Army can be depressing so I went home. I was actually depressed for a couple weeks because 1) I was on bed rest and 2) I felt like a disappointment to myself.
For those of you that don't know or haven't Googled the scripture John 15:13, it reads, "Greater love hath no one than this than to lay down one's life for one's friends." And I just had an epiphany or something that made me realize that friends in my life are like my battle buddies in the Army and a true friend is someone who is willing to do anything. Like legit, anything, even die. That is love. And it made me realize that there are certain toxic people in my life that are not like that. And blahblahblahblah... I got some ink.
I think these are hot! If I were to ever get a tattoo, that's where I'd put it.
Very cool! I love it!
