Q about deleting username

Hey ladies-

Like many of you, I'm pretty burned up about the whole Pinterest thing.  I really don't care about whether I'm getting traffic from being pinned, but I SERIOUSLY care about having my nest name linked to my blog posts.

(This is freaking ridiculous.  All in the name of progress, right?!)

So my question is, if a Nest user deletes their username, are their past posts deleted as well?  I'm a pretty conservative poster, but I'm sure that over the *years* I've been posting on TN, there are things I wouldn't want just anyone from my RL coming across.  If not, is there any way to have the slate "wiped clean" so to speak?

Also, is there any interest in moving our community off-site?  I know many of the locals (along with my anniversary board) have done this.  TN does not seem to be moving in the right direction.

I'm pretty sure past posts are not deleted. Also, older posts are locked, so you can't even get in there and delete your own responses (I actually asked about this because for some reason, I think because I c&p a FB pic on here, when I google my name a stupid TN post comes up. The post is old and they told me even they couldn't delete it, allegedly.)

I don't have the answer to your question, but I think I'll be getting a new screenname pretty soon myself. 

As for the alternate location, my local moved to proboards and I like it a lot.

Sorry, I don't know the answer. I would support moving to another location especially if it would get conversation going. These boards have been dead for a long time.

The preemie moms also broke off and created their own private board.  There was just too much snarkiness going on.  Now its a group that is supportive.  We have great mods and I would support breaking off as well.
