Why me?

I scheduled a meeting with a client for yesterday at 1 pm. She called and asked if she could move it to today at the same time. I said yes. Confirmed 1 pm. She said "I'll be there at 12 to get it over with." I said no, and discussed the importance of sticking to scheduled times (part of what I do is teach people to be successful at job interviews/job searching).

She shows up this morning at 9:45! The other counselor we are meeting with has 2 clients ahead of her. She is having to wait, for who knows how long. I'm not going to go meet with her without my coworker, she needs to be there, actually more than I do.

AAAAAHHHHHHHH!

Re: Why me?

  • I just reeeeeeeeally hope she doesn't whine/complain about having to wait until 1pm. That's the kinda people that annoy the crap outta me.

  • That really sucks. Sad I would say regardless of when your coworker frees up, that you make her wait until 1:00, when her appointment is scheduled. I hate when people think their time is more improtant than someone elses.  Good luck!

  • Ugh, that would really bother me.

  • She will whine and complain. But, I can't help it. That's why we make schedules. She can chalk it up to a learning experience. ESPECIALLY since I specifically addressed this issue.

I agree. Definitely make her wait. I can't believe she showed up that early.

I'd say she's waiting until 1 o'clock. Not even joking.
