High Quality Rabbit Foods?

A little background - our rabbit, Benny, poops A LOT. And he's male, so it's extra stinky! Always has been. He's an older rabbit, 4yrs - they typically live 3 to 5 years. I've noticed has he's gotten older his poo is stinker and increased in quantity.

Any way - I know higher quality dog/cat foods decrease the amount of poo and it doesn't smell as much.

Does anyone know of a high quality rabbit food or what ingredients I should look for in his food? Or maybe some snacks I could give him? He's not a fan of fresh fruits/veggies.

Re: High Quality Rabbit Foods?

  • A rabbit that won't eat produce?? I wonder if he's getting too much "kibble". My buns eat 1/4 cup of pellets a day, unlimited Timothy hay, and as much produce (rabbit.org has guidelines) as we can afford. They really need the hay and fresh veggies. Oxbow and Zupreem make good bunny "kibbles". We feed Zupreem. Hth!
