what i really want to know is how they are living rent free and childcare free and still can't afford to move out? they should be rolling in the dough right now! 

 

She's been asked that a bunch of times and has yet to answer.  

It's like my coworker who lives with mom and dad, they pretty much pay ALL of her bills... and she's always complaining about how she's so broke. I can't imagine how much money I would have if my entire salary was pretty much "fun money" 

Yes I did.  I gave detailed info on my income and expenses. 

Yes, you did.  And there's absolutely no way that you could afford to maintain your lifestyle without the generous help of your inlaws.  The "upkeep and maintanence" that you pay for is a given with any house, and the $800 you say that you have leftover at the end of the month would most certainly not pay for mortgage/rent and childcare for 2.  Hell, those two expenses alone cost me $2,500/month.  And I still have to pay for all of those other pesky things that you mention having to pay for as well. 

But it's worth it to me, to be a self-sufficient adult and not have to rely on hand-outs from family.

twokidsmom- I should've given up on you just given your screenname.  But I hung in for that cluster post... and I wasted my time.  Someone like you will ALWAYS think you're in the right and that you're 100% responsible adults.  Okay... sure.  Your ILs aren't really HELPING you.  You're helping them by living there.  They're so lucky to have you to do this favor for them... and therefore how DARE they have any sort of comments on your financial situation.
