surprise work gifts to your H?

Has anyone sent a surprise treat to their H's jobs before?   I know some of us like to get flowers and was just curious if anyone has ever done it back.

Steak and BJ day is coming up soon, and the radio had a discussion with a chick about having a steak lunch delivered to her husband's job that day, so all she had to do after work was the BJ.  haha

I thought that was smart thinkin', and they do have takeout taxi services that will pick up from most of the big restaurants, they just charge some fees for it.   Not a bad idea!

**I can't really do anything like this since my H is a teacher and doesn't have a regular hours or an actual office.

Re: surprise work gifts to your H?

  • I probably would if he had an office type job.

Since he is suppose to be undercover it would probably draw attention having things delivered to a 'customer'.

  • I sent him flowers once (his favorite-- black eyed susans) but his coworkers made fun of him, haha.

I also had pizza delivered to his office one night when he was working late.

  • MH gets lots of "gifts" from me at work. Geeked

    :::giggles:::

Sometimes I'll call and offer to bring him lunch from somewhere...does that count? I'll probably have something delivered to him for his birthday.

Bahahha, you don't count!!    Stick out tongue

Yeah, my H would definitely get made fun of if I sent him flowers since his desk is in a field house with a bunch of other male coaches.    I guess most men wouldn't want the extra attention, I just wanted to see if anyone else had done it before.

GLW, the pizza was a nice thought, I am sure it made his day!

  • I would if I could.

I usually surprise him with that kind of stuff if I beat him home.

Hard to do that  since he's an electrician Sad

  • I used to surprise him and co-workers with steak sandwiches, chips, and sweet tea. I didn't stay because I didn't want to embarrass him, but he love it and I know the guys liked it too. I can't do this anymore since I work a regular 9-5 job.

  • Not since he got his "real" job because with security here it'd be the hugest hassle ever. No one gets deliveries here cause you have to go pick them up from the parking lot.

But before we were married I would sometimes put surprises in his car so it was there for him at the end of the day.

When mine worked in a shop I'd constantly be sending food to the guys! I miss having guys to feed.

I agree. I didn't cook, I just ordered but it was a nice little treat for them. They often came back to our house after work to hang out. I miss those guys!

  • I sent him a small cookie bouquet and it totally made his day! Mainly because for once he got something delivered to him at work instead of always sending stuff to me.

I think I may do the candy delivery next :)

  • Lurker coming out from hiding - I just sent my SO a fruit arrangement this week. Added on balloons and a bear. The other guys at work made fun of him, but at the end of the day he enjoyed the fruit.
