My last post about the controversy regarding whether Invisible Children is helping or harming the people of Uganda reminded me of a project I worked on several years ago. It deals with a completely different problem, and certainly one that is easier to resolve, but after reading so many articles on the Uganda, Kony and Invisible Children issue, I wanted a reminder that mankind isn't all evil.
I didn't actually get to do any of the helping in this case, all I did was translate and subtitle the documentary, but I found the project absolutely amazing and a perfect example of how one can truly help others. I rewatched some of the documentary (what I could find on youtube) and once again it has restored my faith in humanity, so I am sharing it with you
. Hopefully you like it as much as I do.
Here is the trailer:

And, if you have more time, here is a 20 minute video that is apparently from another program reporting on the documentary. It's truly worth watching:

Apparently, the documentary aired on PBS in January, I don't know if anyone saw it.
Re: Helping others
Thanks for posting. I'll watch the videos when I get home tonight (work computer doesn't have a sound chip).
