NCR- Help!

So I posted this in "Married Life" hoping to get some good info "Our 1 year anniversary is March 19. DH tells me he has something perfect planned. I know we are getting  a hotel at the Hard Rock a couple hours away with a nice dinner and he has a "perfect gift" and I have...nothing! I think our budget is probably around $45-$50 ( I guess, he won't tell me how much he spent so I have no idea what to do that would be comparable to what he is getting me). Any ideas?! TIA "   Clearly they do not have the same ideas that I had when I was asking for their help. Can you ladies give me some genuine help, please?!

TIA

  • Also, is it normal for them to be that crude on that board?

  • yeah, my very first nest-flaming episode happened on that board, LOL!

I guess it's just hard to say because we don't know your DH. For our 1st anniversary we just had a picnic (similar to the picnic we had when he asked me to marry him), exchanged cards, and looked through our wedding album together. It really just depends on the couple. Don't put too much pressure on yourself - he's going to love you no matter what. Try to play off of something from your first date, wedding, engagement, honeymoon, whatever. He's a guy so you're probably over-thinking it more than he was ;)

  • I would either do like PP said and get something that relates to your first date, engagement, honeymoon, etc., or go with tradition and  get him something that has to do with "paper" for your first anniversary.  We did this last year and DH got my a massage gift certificate and my favorite magazine subscription.  I got him a book on antique's he's been wanting and a little scrapbook of a trip we took.
