I feel like when you go to a new salon...

the receptionist gives you the stylist that needs more clients and or experience.

It's always the way the say, "Oh, you haven't been here before? Okay, I'll give you, ummmmmm, Cheryl."

Re: I feel like when you go to a new salon...

  • They totally do. Because all the best stylists are already booked!

  • That's why I've been with the same woman for 8 years- lol-

They do this at a spa, also- when I've scheduled a massage, they'll be like "Oh, you'll be in good hands with....... Naomi"

  • Apples, I thought I had finally chosen a stylist for life. However, she flakes on appointments a lot. I think she might have had some personal stuff going on based on some recent, "I'm back to doing what I was born to do" posts.

I wanted to try one other salon before going back to her. I liked the cut, but she never understood my color.

  • I have had this happen before too. But like Apples said, I have stuck with the same person for many years.

  • I go to the same salon and try to get the same ladies every time. When I get someone new it worries me. My hair is short so I don't want it messed up :(

  • I totally agree. I've had them give me a couple options before and I'll ask "would you let Britney cut your hair?" and one time the girl switched my appointment to someone else. That made me giggle a little bit but I was thankful she did.

  • I completely agree! I thought I had found someone who I would go to forever but he is currently taking "personal time" away from the salon. So I am back to letting it grow out again, because I don't want to let someone else mess with it.

  • This is why I try to find stylists off of really awesome recommendations/reviews. I've had a few scary hair experiences...
