S/O Firemen

You know how I do that Tackle the Tower event every year where we climb 38 stories to raise money for the Ronald McDonald House?  Well, they have a race specifically for firefighters in full dress including tanks and masks.  It is pretty hot- these guys are looking all sorts of tough in their uniforms.  My friends and I have always watched them line up to start the race.  This year we had the genius idea to go to up to the top floor to watch them finish- BEST idea EVER!  OMG- you would not believe how much hotter these guys look after they've made it to the top.  They throw off their tanks and masks, rip open their jackets, and pretty much fall to the floor in exhaustion.  It is really one of the best things I ever seen in my entire life.

There was another group of girls that had the same idea and they took it to a whole other level- they actually took cases of bottled water from the designated volunteers, stood by the finish line and handed it to all the guys as they finished saying stuff like 'Great job, guys', 'Looking good out there' and my personal fave 'I'm looking for a big, strong husband!'

Here's a pic of the guys lining up- I just wish I had a pic of them all laying on the floor at the finish line.  I'll get that next year because I plan to be at the finish line every year from now on.
