Weekend plans?

Re: Weekend plans?

  • My plans are to stay away from home as much as possible.  Our kitchen is being remodeled and the demo started yesterday.  it's torn down to the studs!  I have no sink, no stove, nothing!

Working today, going to get my eye brows threaded after work and hiding out in my bedroom doing yoga, catching up on the DVR-ed shows, etc... We will order pizza for dinner.

Tomorrow I am running w/ my running group in the morning (12 miles) and then I have my grandpa's 80th surprise birthday party.

Sunday I am running a local 5K with some running friends.  I need to grocery shop and I may hit the gym that morning before the race (doesn't start until noon) to do some strength training.

  • Tonight - celebrating that my kids don't get much in the way of homework on Fridays.  It's been a LONG week in that area!

Tomorrow - DH will take DD #2 to her swim lesson while I take DD #1 to her Tae Kwon Do school's black belt graduation to support some friends and let her see what it will be like, since she'll be earning her own black belt at the next one.  Then we'll come home, relax a bit, and get to work on one of the three school projects she has due in the next two weeks.  I'm pushing for dinner out, we haven't done that in a long time, but we'll see how everybody feels since once I get home and can take over with #2, DH is going to be getting back to work on our kitchen/bathroom renovation and will likely be cranky by dinnertime.

Sunday - probably taking DD #1 to Whole Foods for brunch.  We have a tradition when she has a major project to work on that we head out there, get some food, and set up camp in their dining area to work (I bring along a book or a project that I've got going).  She gets a lot accomplished without the distractions of her toys, sister, etc.  After lunch #2 has a friend coming for a play date, so #1 will either do more work (depending on where we are with these projects as the first of them has to be turned in on Monday), hang out, or possibly go ice skating with DH to keep her out of the little girls' hair.

Somewhere in there I hope to get in at least one workout, a load or two of laundry, and a little house cleaning, in that order.

  • I don't work today, so my weekend started last night when I went to my town's wine and food fest. It turned out to be pretty fun, and there was actually some decent food there.

This morning a friend came over to chat and make a double batch of tiramisu with me, and I just dropped that off at the rehearsal dinner it was for.  The rest of the day should be pretty quiet - I need to workout and I want to make a big dinner, but that's it.

Tomorrow morning, we're participating in a local event to clean up trash along the river in town, and then we're going to a wedding in the afternoon.

    No plans on Sunday.

  • I've got to work some this weekend, but what I'm really looking forward to is going to the roller derby tomorrow night :-)
  • I'm running the Columbia SC marathon tomorrow, then going out for tons of pizza in the evening.  Sunday I'm doing what I always do on Sundays.  Work: grade papers, plan lessons.
  • I'm headed here for dinner tonight with several friends for DH's birthday. It's a five course (with 2-3 dishes per course) family-style Italian dinner, and I could not be more excited. We went last summer and it was amazing. We're meeting for pre-dinner drinks in about an hour.

Tomorrow and Sunday I plan to watch as much college basketball as humanly possible. I'll also probably start prep work on the dessert catering job I have for next week.

  • Some little projects around the house to get it ready to sell, I want a pedicure, church Sunday morning, and I want to make an Easter egg wreath with DD.  No definite plans for when we're doing anything.  I'm looking forward to a schedule-free weekend!
