New cookbooks... very excited!
Last night I went to a cookbook class that featured the Milk Bar and Momofuko cookbooks. The ramen was amazing, and the crack pie was, well, like crack.
Now I'm starting the adventure of reading Milk Bar. Any one have any experience with recipes from either of these books? So many things look really good. Can't wait to experiment.

I have Momofuku, got it as a Christmas present, but haven't made anything from it yet. I did find this blog:

that worked their way through the book and found it to be interesting reading!

This looks interesting. I will have to check this out...
I've made the cornflake marshmallow cookies out of the Milk Bar book. They were interesting to make. I read a lot of reviews and people had a hard time baking them. I have a gas oven and baked for about the recommended time and they turned out fine. Wondering if those who had a problem (burning) had an electric oven. Anyway - the cornflake crunch part was like crack. I had a lot leftover and could not stop eating it. I thought it would be good in marshmallow treats so I whipped up a batch using it - and they were pretty great.
I also made the Compost cookie. I'd like to make them again using kettle chips. What I like about some of her recipes is that you can alter them based on what you have - which is fun.
What I don't really like is that everything so far has been so godawful sweet. It's a bit much after awhile. And also - lots of odd ingredients like milk powder.
