Do you ever buy bulbs/plants online?
I've found that the garden centers in my area all carry the same stuff and that finding something a little different is difficult. I've read that Hellebore is good for our type of yard and is rabbit resistant, yet the centers I've gone to don't carry it - at all. It's all pansies, tulips and daffodils.
I was thinking of ordering online but wanted some feedback first.
Re: Do you ever buy bulbs/plants online?
Even though my hellebore is booming right now this is not the season I actually bought it. I think I bought it after it's blooming season at our garden center. I have three of them and right now only one has blooms and is blooming. I'm a little disappointed in them.
I've ordered from Gurneys and Burpees. Sometimes blubs and seeds and sometimes plants. The strawberries I was sent were strawberry plants and they were in good shape when they arrived. I didnt plant them fast enough so some of them didnt make it.
I buy a lot of things on-line.
Burpee, Springhill and White Flower Farm are the ones I typically use. I have had success with peonies, specimen trees, hosta and daylilies especially.

I buy hostas nearly every year from Hallson Garden (www.perennialnursery.com).
Got some bulbs last year from Van Bourgondien (www.dutchbulbs.com) and will probably try some from John Scheepers (www.johnscheepers.com) in the fall.
For Hellebores, I might try Deer-Resistant Landscape Nursery (www.deerresistantplants.com) or Sooner Plant Farm (www.soonerplantfarm.com). I've considered both of them in the past but ended up finding what I wanted at a local nursery.
