Dusting products?

What dusting products do you love and which do you think are over rated?

I'm thinking of getting one of those disposable dusters for our fans and the blinds but I didn't know if there is another way without buying all that stuff.

Also, anyone try out the dollar store versions?

Re: Dusting products?

  • I haven't tried the dollar store versions, so I am no help with that.

To dust speakers and other electronics, I use the swiffer duster. Everything else is just a damp rag. I don't use Pledge or anything. I think it attracts more dust with its oily finish. And the oily finish is gross.

  • I dont advise the dollar store swiffer knock-offs they dont work very well in my experiences with them.
  • I use a microfiber cloth and Method Wood for Good. No gross oily finish, it gets rid of any dirty spots (fingerprints, toddler drool, etc), and it smells really good since it contains almond extract.
