Recently dh and I went through a rough patch, and during that rough patch he indulged in some retail therapy (bought a lot of clothing) He is embarassed of this and doesn't want to show me his credit card bill (we each have our own with seperate banks) He has asked me to give him a couple weeks to get it under control before we go over it. He won't accept any help other than preparing him some lunches that he can bring to work with him so that he can put that extra money towards his credit card.
I am happy to do this for him, but am clueless as to what to make. I am planning to make double batches of his dinners some nights, for example when I make butter chicken or pasta, but on nights where I make him steak and mashed potatos, left overs would probably suck. Unless maybe I cut up the steak into small pieces and poured gravy over it and put the mashed potatoes in a seprate container. (see I have no idea what I am doing!)
He likes sandwiches, but not really when he has to take them to work, because they get soggy and aren't very filling. He has a really large appetite, my mom always jokes that when she has us over for dinner she treats him like 2 and a half people. He has an awesome metabolism though because despite eating like 2 and a half people, at 5'9 he weighs about 140 lbs.
Any ideas?
Re: XP from mm
Make a batch of chili for him to have for lunch.
Make a bunch of bean burritos for him to take for lunch.

Like PP said, a batch of chili would last most the week.
You could pair it with baked potatoes to help food stretch.
You could also make a batch of things for taco salad, tuna salad... etc.
Sorry to hear about your troubles.
