Good morning, it's a new week

Spring break week for my H, which means he is on dinner duty every night this week that he doesn't have a game!  Party!!!          Don't get too jealous, that just means a frozen lasagna, maybe some stir fry, and BBQ chicken, he doesn't get too fancy but it just means I don't have to worry about what to make.

Our weekend was quiet, nothing too noteworthy to report.   We had pretty crummy weather most of the time so I did a lot of house bumming and we had a couple buddies stop over for a little while on Sat night.

How was your weekend?   Anything good going on this week?

Re: Good morning, it's a new week

  • Friday was great. We bought a car. Then H hit a deer this morning. :'(

Saturday I got my hair cut and highlighted. It was WAY overdue. Saturday night was my friend's baby shower. I saw some friends I haven't seen in awhile, so it was fun.

Yesterday I just did housework and watched HGTV lol

  • We had a really good weekend. I'm exhausted but it was well worth it.

It was my brother's birthday so we partied hard.

My parents are back, I don't know for how long but it was really nice catching up with them.

  • We didn't do much. Friday we watched "Immortals." Normally I'm not bothered by the liberties Hollywood takes in films but holy Hera at the inaccuracies (I'm a major ancient Greece fan). Luckily, the many half-naked muscle men distracted me from being too annoyed for long.

Saturday we hung out for a bit, then I helped H at one of his yards. That is, until the roaches came out of this pile of compost bags we were moving. They were the biggest roaches ever and I may have offended the customer with my girlish disgusted squeal. I stayed in the truck after that. Then we went and bought a tent for an event in a couple weeks.

Yesterday we spent the whole day on the couch. H is sick and I'm getting it too. This is literally the first time in the 6 years I've known him that he's been sick enough to not be able to work.

  • Incredibly uneventful weekend.

Friday we stayed home and watched Planet 51.

Saturday it rained cats & dogs all day, so we did minimal - got groceries and watched TV. We watched The Fog. It was awful.
Saturday evening we did our usual.. drink & watch movies.

Sunday I wanted to go do Zumba, but I got there at 2 (to sign up for the gym, my trial was over) thinking, surely by 3 I'll be done and have time to change and everything.. true, we were done by 230, and i had 30 mins of time to kill. Well, come to find out the class was at  330, and I'm not known for my patience. Hubby had the car so I just called him to come get me.
    Went home. took a test.

EEK!!  I would have freaked the F out if I saw a horde of roaches coming at me, they are disgusting!!!

Sorry about the sickness, I hope you both feel better soon.

They were monsters. I was all the way across the yard and could see black dots roaming about the grass where H was still moving the bags. So. Gross.

  • I had a great weekend. Friday my boss sent us home early (this week is Spring Break), so my coworker and I went to the bar then I drove her home. That meant I didn't have to be at my ILs without MH, hehe. Dinner was fine and then we went home and had a bottle of wine.

Saturday we did some landscaping and put up new outdoor lights, then drove to Philly and walked around a bit. Met a bunch of friends at a restaurant for a surprise birthday party for my friend. She was totally shocked and it was a fun party. We crashed with friends for the night.

Sunday we went out to brunch with friends, then drove home. I did some painting in the sunroom and set up some new stereo equipment while MH planned the menu for our party next Saturday. We enjoyed a low-key evening since we're going to be super busy with prepping for the party every night this week.

  • The weather is going to be amazing here this week (60s/70s), so I'm want to get out in the evenings now that the sun doesn't set until 7 or so.

Weekend was good. I feel like we spent a shiitload of money.  S is getting a new car (picking it up today).  I'll be a little sad to see the Acadia go (so nice to have in the snow), but it was brutal on gas (maybe 14 miles/gallon).  We went to the GMC/Buick dealer first since he bought his last two trucks there.  They weren't willing to deal at all.  Ideally, we wanted them to forgive the remaining balance on the note and get him into a Lacrosse (that car just screams "grandpa" at me, but S loves it for whatever reason).

So we went over to the Acura dealer and they took care of the note and gave us a decent deal on a new car.  They were so much nicer to deal with.  So S is picking up his new TL tonight after work.

Then we finally went furniture shopping.  Found a couch we liked and an accent chair.  We're undecided on the fabric so the store gave us some fabric samples to take home.  We'll figure that out this week and hopefully place an order over the weekend.

  • Our weekend wasn't noteworthy, but it was very enjoyable.
Oh, and celebrating H's birthday/his aunt's birthday yesterday... was interesting. First off, I didn't end up getting her a gift, just a card. And second, there was an argument over dinner between family members, which I was really interested in hearing.

This week is DH's "Birthday week" - we will not be celebrating until Friday but he just mentions his birthday everyday and how excited he is... okay, I cannot lie, I am excited for Mythbusters Live on Friday night.

  • Our weekend was very productive.  We got the entire studio painted and it looks awesome!   We also went to my sisters 40th birthday party and it wasn't too awful.  I looked cute and it was nice to catch up with some family.
  • Happy Monday!

I had a lovely weekend. I ordered enough Thai food on Friday night to get me through until Sunday. Then I spent more hours then I should probably admit playing my new video game!

    Yay!

Oh, I also tried to teach myself how to knit. That did not go well. I'll have to find someone to teach me in person.

  • Overall, the weekend was great!

Friday I worked on our playlist for the wedding.

Saturday was our engagement party, so I got to see all of our close family plus our siblings got to meet and get to know each other. We moved the party to MIL's house and continued drinking.

Sunday was a pretty bad day. I was dehydrated and hadn't gotten much sleep. There was also drama regarding my bachelorette party which may or may not happen.

This week, FI and I actually get some days off for spring break since we work for a university! We're off Thursday and Friday, and we plan on taking care of some things for the wedding and working on arrangements for our new house!

  • I was such a bum this weekend. I cleaned the house when I first woke up (at noon) on Saturday, then watched Teen Mom for the rest of the day.

Yesterday, I stayed in my jammies and didn't leave the house at all. I did make a pretty awesome dinner, though.

  • Mine was busy, but good.

Friday night I survived taking my 5 y.o. niece to Chuck E. Cheese.  The place gave me a mega headache, but she had a blast.  I had her stay the night and we had a good time.

Saturday I dropped her off t my sisters then went to bootcamp and then went home and worked on a couple of my Italian lessons, played on the internet and watched tv.

Sunday I got my 10 miler in, took step daughter clothes shopping for her bday, then hung out with the hubs for the rest of the night.

I should've cleaned the house, but you know, I just didn't feel like it!

  • We had insane beautiful weather , so Saturday we did a 21 mile bike ride and then ended up getting a new car due to our sweet insurance settlement from the wrecked one (can't believe three BNTOBs ended up getting new cars this weekend, lol!)

Saturday might went out to dinner and then Sunday we finished packing for our move next weekend- Sunday afternoon we did a 6 mile hike and then met friends for Happy Hour.

This week it's supposed to be in the 70s all week!

I love Thai and video games. What did you order? What did you play?

  • My weekend was normal. Worked more than I normally did, which was nice. I like making money.

    H had a busy weekend.

We met with a real estate agent because the man selling the property is an idiot. He didn't want anyone to pay his commission and said it was "no big deal", he had our address wrong, he didn't have me on the contract, H's mom was on the contract.  So we finally just said f it and went with the ILs real estate agent. They submitted the offer today so we'll see. I'm not getting my hopes up.

I'm getting kind of frustrated with FIL too. He keeps showing H travel trailers and stuff, and it's like..we haven't gotten a yes on the offer yet guys, I know you want to look to keep your options open, but we don't have an acceptance. His dad is just like that though and he frustrates me.

  • Between an over scheduled weekend and the time change, I'm a zombie today.

Friday we didn't do anything...just went to yoga and had dinner at home.

Saturday I got up early, went to yoga and then met my parents for lunch.  Met M at the liquor store afterwards and picked up some delicious beer.  Our friends came over for an early dinner, where we proceeded to drink the beer we'd bought, plus a good amount that was still in the keg.  I was in bed by 11, and honestly, I'm surprised I lasted even that long considering I'd been up since before 6.

Sunday we headed to my hometown to pick up my grandma for her 90th birthday party.  It was just depressing, really.  She pretty much slept the entire time - or asked us to take her home (she's living in a nursing home and wants nothing more than to go back to her house).  We met up with a friend at a brewery on our home for a quick drink, stopped at my sister's house for a couple of hours, and then finally made our way home.  It was a long day.

Damn you Nest for screwing up my siggy!

  • Morning! I'm so jealous of everyone's nice weather. I think we have a week of rain coming.  Sad It gets so old this time of year.

Weekend was alright - nothing too exciting.

Friday: After work MH changed the brakes on the Envoy and I accidentally took a nap. :) We went to dinner at Hibachi place and it was super yummy.

Saturday: Woke up pretty early. I got some cleaning done around the house and then we went to Ikea. Shopped there for awhile then went to dinner at a yummy pizza place called BJ's. Rented the movie "What's Your Number?" and crashed.

Sunday: A whole lot of nothing! Bummed around the house. Took a nap. Then we went to Lowe's to get some supplies for a project I'm working on. Grabbed dinner and came home.
