Favorite smoothie recipes?

Lay them on me! I got a magic bullet for my birthday and despite the dust on my blender, food processor, and immersion blender, I remain convinced that this tool will be the thing that will get me out the door with breakfast in my hand.

Re: Favorite smoothie recipes?

  • It isn't exactly in season, but this recipe is one of my favorites! Enjoy the Magic Bullet!

  • I'm a huge smoothie fan - and it's warm in my neighborhood this week so definitely time to break out the blender. Since smoothies are my preferred snack, I often go for the easiest recipe possible. Just mixing strawberries, bananas, a few ice cubes and greek yogurt (to thicken) works great for a quick treat.
  • I have a Bella Cucina version. Actually two because I use it so much and love it.

We love smoothies. I recently found a recipe for one that used cream coconut. Never used it prior to this recipe. Usually it's in the "ethnic" section of the grocery store I frequent.

I fill the cup with ice. I spooned in two scoops of the cream coconut and liquid. Then added some frozen limeade concentrate, about 5 tablespoons. And mixed. It was delicious. Very Limey though, so tonight I used less and added cut up strawberries. It was sooooo good.

Frozen fruit, ice, and apple juice is another fave or can use orange juice or sunny delight. Frozen sliced bananas and ice with a bit of milk. Endless possibilities. Just play with it til you find the perfect mix for you.

Sams club used to have jet smoothie pur?e that you just added to ice. I don't think they carry it now and it's more expensive on their site. We loved that but felt it was healthier to use non sugar packed juices or pur?es
