Swollen foot ankle but not sprained, any ideas?
Last week starting on Sunday my leg hurt to the touch (the outside of my shin). It has gone away but now my ankle is tender and swollen. I ran Tue-4 W-3 THUR-4 and then 7 miles on Saturday. Yesterday is when I noticed that it was swollen. Has anyone had this happen or have any ideas as to why?

I'd go to the doctor to get it checked out just in case.
In the meantime, RICE-Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation.

This. Sometimes its better to get checked out, than to self diagnose.

I was running 30 miles per week when, all of a sudden, my ankle started hurting on one of my shorter runs. Each run after that, it started to hurt a little more and I noticed it was starting to swell. I took 2 weeks off completely from running...and finally went for my first run (4 miles) this weekend with no pain.
It sucked not running, but it was totally worth it! If the pain had returned after my two weeks off, I was going to make an appt with the dr.
Thanks girls, I have an appointment to go have it checked out.
