Kat.in.the.hat RE: swimming with a 2 beat kick
I think it was you who said you were trying to swim with a two beat kick. I was thinking about a 2 beat kick while I was swimming last night and thought you probably don't want to focus on that. Most people don't swim that way. Most swim with a 4 or 6 beat kick. Yes a 2 beat kick is more efficient, but I would do what comes naturally. Here is a interesting article on it.

Re: Kat.in.the.hat RE: swimming with a 2 beat kick
I've never heard about kicking with a beat, but this article was full of really helpful information, so thank you anyway!
Like most runners, I tend to think of going faster = kicking harder, so I expend a lot of energy and don't really get anywhere because I try to make swimming a leg exercise. I have to work on that a lot.
