If you were treating yourself to new cookware...
Would you go for stainless steel or anodized aluminum? I currently have stainless steel and like it, but I will be in the market for a new set at some point and am considering switching over to an anodized set. My only must-have is the ability to put it in the dishwasher. I like that anodized cookware has nonstick properties, but I like that stainless steel holds up so well.

For skillets, I have one set each of nonstick and stainless steel (plus a cast-iron skillet that I got for Christmas and have yet to use).
For pots, I have a couple stainless steel and then a smaller nonstick one (that DH bought for himself before we were married) that's handy for reheating leftovers.

I have a mix too. We own two sets (stainless and anodized), as well as some enameled cast iron pieces. I don't really have a preference though, but I'm noticing that my anodized pieces are starting to warp after 4 years of use.

Thanks for the input! I think I will go with a stainless steel set and then supplement with some anodized. I really only need nonstick to make pancakes and scrambled eggs...everything else I make works well with stainless steel.
I have a cast iron frying pan and will eventually spring for an enamel-coated Dutch oven.
I don't know what to say...
