I used to be fairly regular on this board but I fell off the H&F wagon due to a job change. BF and I are now getting back into working out.
Last night we went to his gym (which is a national chain) to work out. I used to LOVE to lift so last night I wandered over to the free weights. When we were in the car on the way home, BF told me that he almost stopped doing cardio to come over to the free weight section to talk with some of the guys who were lifting near me because they were making fun of me. He was a little upset about it. I honestly didn't even notice because I was concentrating on my form. I said while I appreciated his "protection", I didn't need it because A) I really don't care and
I have just as much of a right to be lifting as the guys do.
It got me thinking if this happens to other women on this board. So, anyone ever notice this? If so, what do you do? Ignore it or say something?

I hate you very much
I honestly didn't even notice because when I work out, I work out. I don't pay attention to other people. The funny thing is, this gym's whole motto is that "we don't judge" and "everyone belongs here". LOL

My home office. Joeyzlovieg's hubby made it for me. I love it!
Does he know for sure that they were making fun? Maybe they were talking about how bada$$ you are.
No they were definitely making fun. I haven't been lifting in months so I was lifting light weights.
