iPad Games for Cats

I don't have an iPad, but if I did, I know I'd be downloading this. How cool? :)

You vs. Cat: New iPad Game Pits Humans Against Felines

Stan Schroeder 3 minutes ago by Stan Schroeder 0

In May 2011, Friskies launched several iPad games with cats as the intended audience. However, those games were for cats only; the company is now working on a new game that will let a human play against a cat.

Called You vs. Cat, the upcoming game has first been spotted at SXSW, and it lets you hurl virtual objects at your cat across the iPad screen.

Earlier cat games from Friskies, called Cat Fishing, Tasty Treasures Hunt and Party Mix-Up ? as you can see in the video below ? are quite similar, letting cats ?hunt? and ?destroy? the items on the iPad screen.

Can an iPad game against a human opponent keep a cat interested long enough to make this a real contest? Based on our experience with cats catching wool strings and laser pointers, absolutely.

Who do you think will win in this ultimate test of human intelligence against feline cunningness and reflexes?

Re: iPad Games for Cats

  • Are cats gentle enough with their paws that the screen is safe?

Good question. I would think it would hold up to the handling just fine, but I wonder if scratching would be an issue. A screen protector would probably do the trick though.

You just need a good screen protector.  I have an app called Cat Game and my screen is fine.
