What to use on hardwood floors re: accidents

Our little Wylie has a certain area of a bedroom that has hardwood floor that he has gone to a few times to go to the bathroom.  We've used a regular spray and floor clearner to clean it up but after doing some looking online, I'm thinking the enzymes are still there?  Also, DH says there's been a slight odor once or twice (I don't have a sense of smell so I can't tell).  What do you recommend we use to clean?  I've heard of Nature's Miracle but does that work on hardwood?

Thanks!

  • I think Nature's Miracle has a hardwood formula.
  • Thanks.  I didn't see any at our store nearby but googled and found some places..

  • I use Nature's Miracle on pretty much everything (all types of fabric, hard wood, etc.), and it has never stained/bleached anything, so I would try that.  It's important to soak the affected area in NM and then leave it for a while so the enzymes can work and fully break down the pee/poo/whatever, so don't wipe/rinse it away immediately.

  • I also use Nature's Miracle on everything. You know the grandpa on My Big Fat Greek Wedding with the windex? Think that only with Nature's Miracle.
