I've gotta tell you

I love seeing the worst thing you've made answers. They are cracking me up!

Re: I've gotta tell you

  • It has made me feel better because apparently good Stroganoff is apparently not that easy to make.
  • reading them all made me remember that growing up my cousin and I used to make all sorts of variations on scrambled eggs.  we would do them in the microwave as we weren't allowed to use the stove yet.  we put vanilla extract in them as we knew that our moms put vanilla in everything they baked to make it taste better.

    they were SO gross!

  • I didn't want to trash the newbie party, but I have had SEVERAL Pad Thai attempts that have ended up in the trash. There is something about tamarind paste that ruins the Thai food I made. It literally turns bitter, tart, BLACK, and completely inedible. I've started buying the tamarind blocks and just soaking them and massaging out the tamatind and straining it so that it's not so, so condensed.

I know! I was surprised by all the stroganoff mentions.

My first and only pad Thai attempt wound up in the trash. It smelled like vomit. YUCK!
