E is taking me away for the weekend for my birthday Yay! But the puppers aren't coming. E has asked a friend who I'm a little leery of to come watch them and stay at the house. ( I'm trying to let go of my control freak ways, its really hard let me tell you!)
We are going to have the house all clean and anything personal like bills and such put away. I'm going to put the cat in my office and make sure he has food and water and a clean littler box. He's scared of new people so I don't want him to stress so I think that will be best.
As far as the dogs, I was going to measure out there food so it is easier to feed them and kind of give him a basic time line as to when they wake up and when they generally go out.
As far as food I was going to tell him he is welcome to anything in the fridge and cabinets.
I was going to have a list of phone numbers where either we can be reached or my IL's and my Dad. I was also going to give him my coworkers number( she is like a second mom to me) in case something comes up and he needs her to come get the dogs or whatever.
Do I have this all thought out? Is there anything else I need to make sure he has numbers to or what not? Anything else that would be nice to do for him?
Re: House sitting help!
Have you talked about paying him/her?
We had a friend come let our Dog out for a week while we took our honeymoon. (She ended up taking our Dog to her house instead of being alone at our place). She said we didn't have to pay her but H and I thought it was the right thing to do so I put some cash next to a print out/note to her.
I also wrote down the commands our dog knows and which toys were her favorite.
Do your pets have any weird habits? I tend to make a list of things that is normal and allowed for out pets.
They are allowed on the furniture
Feed Chloe first or else Charlie will try to steal her food,
If you can't find Chloe she is probably under the covers in our bed.
