St Patty's day Breakfast Ideas?

Hello,

I am planning to have my inlaws over this weekend and wanted to make a st patty's day themed breakfast. Any ideas for what to make?

Thanks!

Re: St Patty's day Breakfast Ideas?

  • my company is having a st. patty's breakfast. Here's what they're planning on serving, but may change

    • Lucky Charms
    • Green Eggs and Ham
    • Green Muffins
    • Hash Browns or Potatoes
    • Irish Soda Bread
    • Irish Punch  (no idea what this is)
    • Non-alcoholic Irish creamer for Coffee

  • Scones.

And it is Paddy, not Patty. Sorry, but this is the 10384th post spelling it wrong and I couldn't take it any more. lol

You should make corned beef hash, of course!

Most definitely! And Irish Soda Bread toasted with butter and jam, my favorite the day after st. patrick's day.

    THANK YOU!

A pared-down Irish breakfast would be good (the full is a bit much): fried eggs, tomatoes and potatoes, sausage or Irish bacon, baked beans, toast and strong tea.

You made me google. It's not very nice to call an Irishman "Paddy" unless his name is Patrick and it's not very nice to refer to a Saint by a nickname or a woman's name (Patty), ha.

St. Patrick's Day is cancelled due to spelling and political correctness.  Sorry, everyone.

Yeah that's right my name's Yauch!
  • I am heading to a brunch and bringing roasted baby potatoes with sweet onions.
  • Thank you all for your great ideas!

True confession.. I did not know that it was paddy.. every time I saw that I thought "why is that person spelling it wrong"?  tricks on me i guess!! haha. noted and will correct from here on out!  can't wait until Sat morning for breakfast and the St Paddy's day parade!
