EGD not so bad!

I had an EGD (stomach scope) yesterday to check for ulcers and it wasnt too bad.  The worst part was the iv.  I was kind of out of it for the 1st couple hours and recall them saying "everything looks good" and thinking does that mean I dont have ulcers.  I cant remember if I asked.  I read the paperwork later in the day and it said they took a biopsy and results will take 5 days so I will just wait the 5 days and call my dr.  I was so out of it, I couldnt remember if H and I stopped for lunch on our way home or it that was a dream!  It was real but it felt like a dream.

The nice part was it was fast, I was in and out of the hospital in 2 hours.  I went home and napped an hour then got up and enjoyed the day outside.  I washed and spray painted (for rust) all our patio furniture and got the patio all washed and set up.  Now I will enjoy this evening and grill dinner.

Re: EGD not so bad!

  • Good to know it's not as intense as it sounds! I'm glad you felt good enough to get things done afterward!
  • Glad it went smoothly and you are all good for now.   Sucks to wait for the results, I am in that same boat myself.

    **Crossing fingers for no ulcers***

  • I am having mine early part of May. Then I have to have colononscopy the 1st of June and then have to wait until the middle of June to go over all of the results. Nerves are on end since this is going to be a 3 month ordeal. I am glad that everything went smoothly for you.
