Talk to me about nuts

And other protein filled snacks. So far today I have eaten a chicken biscuit, greek yogurt with honey, about 10 almonds, and a slice of cheese. I'm RAVENOUS! I need to know what nuts/other things to eat to fill me up and keep me that way for more than 5 minutes!

  • I dont know what it is about nuts but they just make me more hungry all day.  I can literally eat an entire jar and still be hungry.  Oatmeal seems to fill me up the best.  And chugging a whole bottle of water helps a lot if I cant seem to get full.

    I have oatmeal, I might try adding that in tomorrow. I have to drink eleventy billion gallons of water a day, so that's not the problem.

  • Nuts are good but agree sometimes they just aren't filling enough! 

    My faves are pistachios and cashews.

  • Combining them with a complex carbohydrate would be more filling- they area  great snack but often times not enough for me

  • Our friend had cancer and lost a nut. When we are all together it's constant testicle jokes.

    Also, have you been drinking enough water? Often times our bodies confuse dehydration with hunger

  • Fiber is also good to help keep you full, so fresh fruit and veggies are great sources of that, plus whole wheat products like bread, rice, cereal etc.
