Thank you for posting that delicious avocado pasta recipe!  M made it for dinner the other night and it was unbelievable....I'm already dying to have it again!

Also, I've become a vinyasa loving fool.  I've been going to the 90 minute hot vinyasa classes 2-3 times/week in addition to my regular Barkan classes.  :)

  • Isn't it AMAZING???!!!! Every person who has made it was like .... wtf, that was INCREDIBLE!!!!! I love that you can make so many different versions of it, adding different proteins or veggies, etc.

    Yay! I'm glad you like the vinyasa. Now is the time of year that I actually stop going to my heated vinyasa classes (I don't do well with heat, so the heat outside + heat inside = unhappy Apples), and I actually get into my home practice, which is actually a nice change of pace for me. That plus all the biking we've been doing- fun times! :)

  • I normally can't handle the heat either, but I managed okay all last summer.  If it gets any hotter than last year though, I'm not sure I can do it...I'll either find a different studio, or practice at home too.

    I'm just absolutely shocked over the yoga.  It's all I've done for about a year now (April 7 will be a year) and I've lost 40 lbs - which I didn't expect or intend!  I'm completely blown away!

    My personal belief is that yoga is the KEY to weight loss. When I started practicing yoga, I dropped ten pounds instantly (I wasn't heavy to begin with though) and my body shape literally changed. People knowing my history with exercise addiction and disordered eating were like "um, are you OK? you have a completely different body now" and I had to keep reassuring people that I was the healthiest I've ever been due to YOGA. I also think yoga makes you much more aware of the quality of the foods you put into your body, so you end up just wanting and needing to eat more healthy.

    Add that to the fact it completely transformed my acceptance of my body and I'm pretty much a solid believer that yoga is the bomb.
