My Pinterest Project (PIP)

Saw this on Pinterest and thought it was cute, and I already had the multi-picture frame and was looking for something to put in it.  It was really easy...I just printed the maps on regular paper, and bought sticker hearts and burlap in the scrapbook paper section of the store for the back.  Only problem is I had to cut out one of the states in which I've lived...poor North Carolina didn't make the cut.  ;-)

I was wondering the same thing! (My former neck of the woods, a little bit north of there though.)

My favorite place on earth: The Amargosa Valley.

I've only lived in two states, and they are right next to each other.  How boring. ;)

  • Very cute!

  • I love this, and now I want to make one!  DH and I have lived in 4 states together, so I've always wondered how I could show that in our home decor.  Now I have an idea!

Nice! I am in Ithaca often. My family owns a business downtown, and my husband I love going out to eat there once in a while. So many great restaurants!

I'm dr.girlfriend on there too, but by "Pinterest Project" I meant a project I made based on an idea I saw on Pinterest.  It should be in my "For the Home" or "My Style" pinboards with a link to the blog.  I would give you the blog link directly, but Pinterest is blocked at work.  :-(

ETA:  Oh, wait, I found it by googling.  If you follow the link to where she posts more about the maps, in the comments someone linked to pdf maps that are much easier to work with.  I just opened the pdf on my computer, took a screen shot, pasted it into PowerPoint so I could make sure it was the size I wanted, and printed the slide.

I grew up in Ponca City.  :-D

Do you have family who live elsewhere?  I thought that could be cute too, like, "These are the other places where my heart is."  ;-)

Had to include that one...that's where DH is from, and where we met.  Then I dragged us both to PA.  :-D

  • Ok dumb question, but did you use burlap scrapbook paper or reg burlap?  I know they have so many papers out now, that I was curious.

It was in the scrapbook paper section, but from what I can tell it's just scrapbook-sized pieces of real burlap.
