I've been "on vacation" this week from work, but it's not shaping up to be a very good vacation.
Monday was my cousin's wake, yesterday was her funeral. We didn't get to have the processional, because rain washed out a bridge that it's necessary to cross to get to the cemetery where she's being buried. So the funeral home is keeping the casket there until probably Saturday or later, depending on when the bridge gets fixed.
For those wondering, my cousin was 42. (My mom was the WAAAAY youngest of 9 children. I have aunts and uncles old enough to be my grandparents and cousins old enough to be my parents, etc.) She was diagnosed with cervical cancer a couple years ago and it spread through her body. She passed away on Friday night. She had two children, a 22-year-old son and a 20-year-old daughter. Her son's girlfriend is currently pregnant as well, and I think he has another baby already.
Today I cleaned the whole apartment. Complete and total Spring Cleaning. I am very sore and tired.
OH YEAH and I'm starting to feel sick. The worst kind of sick a person can be 3 days before they have a SINGING AUDITION. My sinuses are on fire and it hurts when I swallow, so the congestion is coming. Great. I scrubbed and dusted and bleached and still get sick.
My mom's surgery is Friday and my audition (if I make it at this rate) is Saturday. T&P for my ridiculous life situation are appreciated.
Re: I've been gone a few days. Ugh.
sessions, I am so sorry you are having the week from hell, and really sorry to hear about the loss of your cousin. That is so very sad and my thoughts are with you and the family right now.
Sending all my good health vibes to you, I hope you are feeling 100% for the audition! The timing couldn't be worse, but maybe it will flush out before then if you keep up the water and vitamin C intake! Hang in there, hope things get better so you have a wonderful weekend to make up for the craptastic week.
***Keeps fingers crossed for a great audition**
**hugs** I am sorry for your loss and that you are sick.
I hope all goes well with your mom's surgery, and that you are able to get some rest and feel better, and have a wonderful audition!!
::::hugs::::
The death of a family member is always tough, and getting sick on top of it does not help the stress.
I'm so sorry for you loss and everything else piling on top of it.

I'm sorry, I know how much you've been looking forward to the audition... I hope you get better!
