Okay, I read the article, and I sound so ignorant but please help me out...
I started BC in September or October since I got married in November. I went to the Dr. who told me that I could get the generic pill (TriNessa) from Kroger for $8/month (I buy 3 months at a time) but I obviously needed a prescription. Coming up this August/September (whenever I run out of BCP) I was planning to go to the Dr. again for another year-worth prescription.
However, by August, do I still need a prescription to get it? I have el cheapo insurance right now and if I can avoid the Dr., I will.
*I'm more concerned about scheduling a dr. appointment and paying for that than the actual bcp. But, whatever saves me money is what I'd like to do...
Re: Free BC in August
My doctor actually was the one that informed me that if I tell Kroger I don't have insurance, I would be able to get the cheap stuff without a copay. A lie? Yes. Flame away.
Now I'm wondering if I should switch bcp or stay with what I'm on since my body is already used it by now.
Sqqquuueeee!
Is it weird I'm totally excited about this?
I've been wanting the IUD for quite some time now but I'm cheap. I'll admit I was a little reluctant before I saw all of the reviews on this board.
*does happy dance*
I would keep it, and in August tell them I got insurance. Save that 8 bucks a month.
