So, last night I went out with the guy my bff & DH introduced me to last weekend at their house. We had a good time, went to a pub. Anyway, he is definitely a shy guy, but started loosening up a bit after we both had some beers in us. We hung out for about 3 hrs until 10 pm and we walked outside. So, I could definitely feel that wakward "WTF do we do now after first date walking to cars" problem of is there a kiss coming? A second date invite coming? So.....it was kind of funny because I could tell he didn't have much game because he wasn't smooth at all--which, I know is good, beware of overly smootgh guys who have the ending of the first date routine down pat! Anyway, we were standing in a courtyard outside of the surrounding area, he said it was great meeting me out and gave me a hug, but it wasn't a loose hug. Then he started asking me about my upcoming schedule (as if to imply that yes, we'd get together again....but didn't outright say "Let's go out again.") then I told him, he told me he's working nights Fri-Sun and then I forget what we both said to each other, and then heleaned down and gave me a sweet peck kiss on the lips.... That was how we left it.
I really really really want to go out w/ him again. I feel like after a few dates, he'd totally become less shy/nervous. He definitely was fun once he started to loosen up, but again, I could just sense he is a respectful, humble, and reserved guy--and he wasn't about to swap spit w/ me in front of other people in the courtyard after a first date.
Anyway, so I'm thinking him asking about my schedule and going back after that hug for one kiss, albeit simple, is a good sign!?!/!/!? Lord!
Re: Date last night report

YAY!
I may have missed knowing this, but do you and he live near where you're going to be going to school? Will it be feasible to continue dating once you start?
That's awesome, getting to meet someone who's already known and approved by your friends. I'm happy for you!
YAY!!! It sounds like a very good sign!
Hopefully you hear from him today or tomorrow. If not, I'd reach and and see if he's up for getting together again?
I think you said you live an hour away from where you'll be going to school, so like PP mentioned, consider if you're OK with that, but I'm sure you have time to figure that out anyways. (and IMO, an hour is nothing and totally feasible, but then again, I live about 30 min. from most "young single" people in my city)
Sounds promising. I am glad you had a nice time.
