? if you run in orthotics

How long did it take you to get used to them initially?  I've only run in mine once so far, but I'm wearing them pretty much all day in my old running shoes, and I feel pretty well-adjusted for daily activity.  Just curious how long it might take to get used to running in them.  TIA!

I adjusted immediately. Without them, I get horrible cramps in my calves that make it almost impossible to function when I run.

I adjusted right away as well.  Have them for PF, never had any issues (besides the annoying squeaking noise).

I got used to mine on the first run.  I had a lot of knee pain before I started using them so there was a huge relief on that first run using orthotics.  I don't use orthotics anymore though because I fell in love with the Brooks Trance running shoes.  Love them and don't need orthotics!

Pretty much immediately. I slip them in under my insoles and don't even notice that they're there.

It took me a few runs to get used to them.  I've been wearing mine for about 8 weeks now and I definitely still notice them but it's just a weird feeling - not necessarily bad/good.  I wear them almost all the time and its been a huge help.

first time i wore them for a long period of time it was on a 3 mile walk...it made my hips hurt (i only put them in my running shoes and wear heels every day otherwise).  It did that a few times and then after a week or so it was normal.  I run now a lot with them, and the only thing I notice, is if i don't run at my normal pace but at my friends slower pace, my knee hurts...i have one orthotic that is different to take pressure of the front pad of my foot so i need to keep my stride longer. 

i rarely wear my sneakers though.  and i only have them in one pair of running shoes, my other running shoes i just don't have them in.

It probably took me about 2-3 weeks. I started using them in the my shoes more and more and then on shorter runs and on longer ones. The transition from short to long runs wasn't very long - maybe a few days.

Thanks for all your input, ladies!  I guess I'll see how they're feeling tomorrow.

I ran in mine for about a month before they started causing other injuries :-( I only wear them now in my every day shoes and work shoes and I don't run in them. Thankfully my plantar fasciitis has been kept away. But I adjusted to them within a week.
