Hey, just wanted to thank you again for the backsplash advice. Instead of going all the way around the bathroom ($$$$), we just went behind the vanity, and then continued behind the toilet. We had extra tile, both glass tile and the porcelain tile, so no extra tile was needed. PHEW. I also had the contractor use that waterproofing "stuff" for the sink backsplash. He said "you know your stuff." BWAHAHAHAHA!! Riiiiight. I took the credit, just to let you know
Anyway, when it was done, the contractor said that it looks so much more "complete" and finished...and that i made smart decisions. Aww shucks.
Anyway, thanks again. I'll be contacting you in a few weeks when we start our laundry room renovation, so please pay attention to my pages. (kidding kidding)
Hope your reno is going well too!

Awesome! I'm glad it all worked out for you and that you didn't have to buy extra tile. Go ahead and take credit for knowing about the waterproofing. You did your research...that was coming to this board.
Knowing what to ask the contractors for is key.
You'll have to post pictures when you get a change!
Our remodel is coming along pretty fast. We just installed the vanity and the toilet. Now we're waterproofing the shower so we'll be cutting tile for that soon!
I will post pictures I promise.
I just saw your vanity! Gorgeous! Is that cherry wood? We had a somewhat similar issue with our sconces being a wee bit to tight, so i had to downsize the medicine cabinet/mirror that I initially got. You think yours was close, ours was even closer! I think yours looks fine and can't wait to see it when it's all done.
No it's actually solid walnut with a clear coat on top. I'm loving the look of the wood grain in the room! I'm glad you don't think our sconce is too close. DH isn't a fan and I wasn't at first either but I think once the mirror is in it will look much more intentional. Plus it really shows off the wood on that panel nicely. I pointed that out to DH but he just said it makes the individual boards very apparent. News flash honey no one is going to believe that the 23" deep panel is one solid piece. LOL!
