AW: No sew roman shade from mini blind
I've seen these all over the place, but here's my version! It was pretty easy, but I've never really worked with fabric so the hardest part for me was cutting it with square, straight lines. You just buy a cheap mini blind, remove most of the slats and just leave behind however many slats you need for the roman shade folds, glue the blinds to the fabric, and hang.

It looks great and I love that fabric.
If you end up doing it with the wood blinds, I'd love to know how it goes! I have a wood blind in my laundry room I'd like to do this with. I don't think it matters that the slats are thicker and I'm thinking it will raise and lower easier since the wood blinds are much nicer than the cheapo vinyl blinds I bought from HD for this project
