It totally depends on the color of the cabinets and the overall style of the house.

My aunt's custom house is completely cream colored - walls, floors, upholstery, curtains, everything. Because HGTV told her to, she took out her bisque appliances and put in stainless. Looks absolutely stupid. Go with what the house needs.
