Why doesnt my adorable little girl realize she JUST had MAJOR surgery THURSDAY?! We've already mastered taking the cone off when we were out for a while and peed all over it. Then 2 nights in a row now she has climbed UNDER our bed.. Dragging her belly under it with the cone one without getting stuck. Not really sure how she's doing that considering the hole for under the bed is less than half the width of the cone. She also thinks its ok to be running and jumping a day after major surgery... I hate this. It's going to be a long 2 weeks
Re: Spay vent
I hear ya. Our girl got spayed a week after we brought her home, when she was approximately 1 1/2. My H picked her up the next day, and expected her to be subdued and sore.
Nope. She went BSC jumping and turning circles as soon as she saw him, and pranced out to the car. He got her settled in the backseat, and stopped for gas on the way home...while he was filling up the car, she got into the front seat and curled up on the floor of the car by the gas/brake/clutch. (which scared the crap out of him b/c he couldn't find her at first and had no f'ing idea where she went and how she got out of the car).
She came home and proceeded to race up and down the stairs, jump on the couches, hop on the bed etc every time J had his back turned. We tried to carry her up and down the stairs as much as possible, but she was having none of it...and through all of this, her stitches looked PERFECT. So we ended up letting her do her thing and kept a close eye on her...and she was fine, thank god. But oh lord did she give us a collective heart attack!
