Show me your office/study area

I am back in school, and find our office to be very disorganized and not very functional.

Would love to see pics of what others have done. We have a large desk, but there is just stuff shoved in the top sections. I have a little table next to me with a small bulletin board and calander, and I have a bed behind me. I end up putting some books on the bed....

Was thinking maybe adding another table next to the desk- making an "L" shape, and possibly adding drawers, files, boxes, something to help stay organized. I know it bothers dh when I take over as well.

TIA!

Re: Show me your office/study area

  • The only photos I have of our office is in it's staged to sell condition, so most our stuff was packed up and it isn't very realistic. :)

But I think your idea of adding a return to your desk or a credenza with lots of drawers is a good idea.  I don't know what your desk looks like, but we like to go to used office furniture stores for furniture.  You can find some fun pieces there.

  • We just redid our office (for $40!)

    more pics in my blog.

I def recommend adding shelving if you have too much "stuff".
