How to cook raw sliced corned beef

Hi,

We are making corned beef sandwiches for dinner.  DH got a hunk of raw corned beef and decided to slice it up.  Now I have no idea how to cook it.  The recipes I've found are how to cook big slabs of corned beef.  Any ideas?

Thanks!

  • I think you will still have to simmer it for awhile so it is not

tough. That's all I can think of. Good luck!

  • I'd slice some onions and carrots into a shallow pan of water with some cloves; let the flavors simmer a bit; then drop the meat in to cook and soak-up the flavor; it will only take a minute or two to cook-up. Then drain ands put on rye bread with mustard for dinner. Yummy.
My darling daughter just turned 4 years old.
  • How did he slice it?  Thin slices agains the grain or thick?  What cut of meat is it (brisket, bottom round, etc.)>
